Our programs
Preparing Dancers for the Professional Stage
At Pensacola Youth Ballet, our program is built on the belief that exceptional dancers are shaped through both tradition and thoughtful education. Grounded in classical ballet technique and pointe training, our curriculum is enhanced by cross-training, nutrition, music appreciation, dance history, theatre for dancers, and diverse dance styles. By cultivating discipline, knowledge, and artistry, we prepare dancers not only to perform beautifully but to grow into confident, informed artists with a deep respect for the art form.

Primary Division
Our primary division is for ages walking – 5 years of age. This includes, “Dance With Me” classes which are guardian-assisted, and our Kinder Dance classes designed to unleash your child’s imagination through movement. These classes engage students with a range of playful dance, story, and obstacle course exercises intended to encourage motor skill development.
Are you interested in learning more about our primary division and would like to join us for a free class?
PREPARATORY PROGRAM
Our preparatory classes for ages 5-adult are designed as an introduction to classical ballet technique. They follow our progressive curriculum but are a little more relaxed, with less requirements for families who prefer a more flexible schedule. These students will have the opportunity to perform in our end of year production however this is not required. As students progress, they may also audition or be asked to join our academy program. In addition, we offer some adult classes through this part of our program…these may be regularly scheduled or workshop style classes.
“Beyond the dance, you can see the values. The respect for each one of the students and their goals. They pursue the dreams of all the students, introducing a high level of technique. pedagogy and hard work.”
– Cervilio, and Beth Ann Maslinov

Academy Program

In addition to their ballet technique, other classes are offered in Pointe, Cross Training, Nutrition, Music Appreciation, Dance History, Theatre for Dancers, and Dance Styles.PYB Company
Pensacola Youth Ballet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the only fully established youth-focused ballet company in our community. Dedicated to nurturing the talents and passions of young dancers aged six and older, we provide a platform for aspiring professionals to gain essential performance experience and build their résumés in preparation for their careers.
Each year, we present three full-length productions, along with additional opportunities to showcase their artistry through performances at events like the Gulf Coast Arts Festival and various outreach initiatives.
Our company dancers benefit from expert-led master classes and are actively encouraged to audition for nationally acclaimed summer programs, supporting their artistic growth and paving the way for future success in the ballet industry.

At Pensacola Youth Ballet, our students gain invaluable insights from the extensive network cultivated by our Director over more than 30 years of professional experience.

Our summer programs provide a dynamic environment for learning new techniques, exploring different styles, and gaining fresh perspectives—an essential step in refining skills and broadening artistic horizons.

Our productions, including Around The World in 80 Days, Pinocchio, Ballet on the Bayou, and our annual Evening of Dance Gala, provide a distinguished platform for our dancers to shine personally.
